Healing Mandalas for Adults with Trinidad Martinez

An Arts & Spirituality series offering

Location: UUCGL Parish Hall

Tibetan Buddhists, Hindus, Native Americans and many other cultures have all derived spiritual connection and healing from the making of mandalas. Psychoanalyst Carl Jung has called it “a representation of the unconscious self.” The mandala is widely recognized as a meaningful reflection of its creator. Together, we will create a sand mandala, utilizing its holistic therapeutic benefits along the way.

Trinidad Martinez was born in Trujillo, Venezuela. She graduated as a sculptor in the visual art school “Cristobal Rojas” in Venezuela in 1999. She works in mixed media and has been lead artist in art therapy projects, as well, with multiple acclaim and exhibitions in Massachusetts, Marseille, France and Barcelona, Spain.
