POSITION: Director of Community Life and Learning

  • The Director of Community Life and Learning will serve as religious education lead and program director for the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lynn. This is a full time, senior staff position under the supervision of the Parish Minister.  Our congregation practices policy governance.

  • As religious education professional, the DCLL will be responsible for implementing the congregation’s lifespan faith development program. The DCLL will plan, organize and implement a lifespan faith development program with the Parish Minister and the ministry teams of the church, creating a comprehensive, integrated calendar of programming in accordance with the church’s Home Base Program Cornerstones (Family Ministry, Small Group Ministry, Spiritual Practice, Social Justice, Eco-Spirituality, Theology). Since our Home Base vision is to become a spiritual enrichment center for the wider community, the DCLL will be working to nurture relationships with a variety of facilitators from outside the congregation, drafting administrative policies with the administrative staff and lay leaders, and acting as liaison for program leaders.

  • The Director of Community Life and Learning assists and facilitates communication and connection among groups within the congregation in regard to calendar coordination, creative collaboration and the promotion of programs within and outside of the church.

  • The Director of Community Life and Learning will share the pastoral ministry of the congregation with the Minister, staff and lay members. The heart of the DCLL’s work is connectional, relational and spiritual.
