Youth Group at UUCGL is open to all youth grades 9-12 from our church, our neighboring houses of worship (regardless of tradition), and the larger community on the North Shore dedicated to progressive values. Core to our Youth Group model is youth leadership development. Each year, the Youth Group is invited into the process of choosing service projects that reflect their values and priorities, as well as fun social outings they’d like to do together.

This year, the Youth Group will also be writing their own screenplay based on the core values they feel are most important to their faith. This will then become the basis for our multiage spring video storytelling production! On most Sunday evenings that the Youth Group meets, both parents and youth are invited to join us for a Community Meal before Youth Group begins. Then, from 6-8pm, both the Youth Group and a Parent Group will meet separately. The Parent Group will have the opportunity for structured conversation around the topic of parents/guardians as the primary sexual educators of their children, through this curriculum here, however, these are peer-to-peer conversations for parents/guardians of children, youth, or young adults of all ages, and so the participants will determine the content of the conversations as needed.
