Vigil for our Minister Emeritus, Rev. Vann Knight

Our Minister Emeritus, the Rev. H. Vann Knight, was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of lymphoma some time ago and has chosen medical aid in dying. His passing will take place in Canada on Thursday, March 12, with family at his side.

A Minister Emeritus is a former minister who has been honored by the congregation with this title in recognition of distinguished service and an enduring bond of affection. The Rev. Knight served as our Parish Minister from 2001 to 2012, offering thoughtful pastoral leadership and a ministry rooted in presence, compassion, and the art of seeing the sacred in the ordinary. Those who knew him will miss his kind words, his laughter, and his steady support. We wish him peace and comfort on his final journey, and we will gather here at UUCGL for a vigil to hold him in our thoughts and prayers during the time of his transition, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time.

Please join us in the sanctuary on Thursday, March 12, from 9:30 to 10:30am for music, testimonials, prayer, and time together as we hold him in our thoughts and prayers at that time.
