"Resilience and the Black Organizing Tradition"
Martha Curry, Worship Leader
Colette Lima, Guest Speaker
The Black organizing tradition has long used activism not just as a means for societal change, but as a powerful act of resilience. Rooted in movements like abolition, the Civil Rights Movement, and Black Lives Matter (BLM), this tradition shows how organizing is essential in overcoming oppression. In current times, the arc of history can only bend toward justice if people actively demand it, emphasizing the ongoing importance of collective action in fighting for equality and freedom.
You can access the Order of Service here (updated document will be posted 24-48 hours before the Sunday Service). If you'd like to make an offering online, you may donate here.
For those of you who would like to maintain social distance in the sanctuary (which has several air filters running every Sunday), the front righthand side of the sanctuary is reserved for you.
