More than 2,400 years after Euripides first brought Medea to the stage, her rage still has the power to shock, disturb, and even move us. In this lecture and conversation, we will reflect on this ancient tale of betrayal and revenge, marriage, motherhood, gender and power within the context of today’s news and contemporary insights from multiple perspectives.

An evening event co-hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lynn in Swampscott and Marblehead Little Theatre.
About The Stage And Sanctuary Series
The Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein is a parish minister, certified spiritual director, actor and dramaturg who brings a spiritual, archetypal and feminist lens to her analysis of art. She presented “Beyond Salem: The History And Legacy Of The European Witch Trials” in conjunction with MLT’s production of “The Crucible” and appeared as Aunt March in their 2025 production of “Little Women.”
