Although it’s hard to measure social isolation and loneliness precisely, there is strong evidence that many adults aged 50 and older are socially isolated or lonely in ways that put their health at risk. Recent studies found that social isolation significantly increased a person’s risk of premature death from all causes, a risk that may rival those of smoking, obesity, and physical inactivity. Come join us as we hear from a panel of local experts on how to assuage loneliness, make social connections, and stay social as a senior.

Lunch will be provided. Cost is $5.00 at the door, but financial waivers are available by reaching out to Rev. Chris Scheller. We are partnering with Seaglass Village for this event and there is a limit of 50 attendees, so register soon! Feel free to bring a guest, this is open to all. Registration deadline is May 14th.

Event will be held at UUCGL in our Parish Hall.
