Hearts & Arts for Youth: Sunday Art Adventures to Benefit the Local Community
Youth of all ages through high school are invited to join local artist Bruce Orr for hands-on art projects during the Sunday morning faith development classes listed below at UUCGL!
In this exciting new program offering, youth are invited to put compassion into action through creative projects—brightening a stranger’s mailbox, making prints for neighbors in need, and crafting art that speaks to what they stand for.
No experience necessary—just bring your creativity! Feel free to bring friends and spread the word to any local youth. All materials provided.
Bruce is an art teacher, art therapist, muralist, illustrator, puppeteer, and all-around arts advocate. He is the founder of Inkwell Arts in Peabody.
Upcoming Sessions (10-11am in the Skylight Room):
January 11 – Postal Art: Random Acts of Kindness
January 25 – Prints for People: Printmaking for My Brother’s Table
February 8 – Sticker Love: Sticker Making for Valentine’s Day
February 22 – Stand Up Puppets & Paper Pop-Ups: What Do You Stand For?
More dates and projects coming in March and April! Questions? Reach out to Rev. Chris Scheller (cscheller@uucgl.org), Minister of Community Life and Learning, UUCGL.

ABOUT CHILDREN & YOUTH PROGRAMMING AT UUCGL
We have worship and learning every Sunday, 10-11am.
Afternoon & evening programming for 5th grade & up on select Sundays, September – June.
Your family is invited to join in the exploration and celebration. We’re delighted to have you with us!
You don’t need to go it alone. Parents and caregivers come to Unitarian Universalist (UU) congregations because our communities help raise children to be kind, respectful, fair-minded, caring, and strong enough to side with love, fight for justice, and be good environmental stewards. We nurture truth-seeking, spirituality, and a commitment to healing divisiveness in our world that will continue to shape and support our children as they grow.
Here are some things we’ve been doing at UUCGL lately...
Learning about native plants & stewardship of the Earth
Acting, designing sets, & making our own video productions
Visiting neighboring churches & learning about the world’s faith traditions
Making meals for families facing food insecurity
Exploring the world through art
Embarking on field trips & active learning projects
