Spiritual direction, as defined by the parish minister, is not telling someone what to believe or do in relation to their spiritual journey. Rather it is a process of companionship, listening, and mentoring. One who enters the process of spiritual direction determines, in consultation with their spiritual mentor, what they want to nurture in their life, what that want to diminish or lay aside, and how they will go about doing this. The parish minister provides a mentoring relationship for members of the congregation and for nonmembers. This is a free service, but there are some requirements and availability is limited.
