Through the financial generosity of past and present members of our church, the UUCGL has endowments and other money set aside to support individuals, organizations, and social concerns in our community. This support includes assistance to those in need, grants to organizations, scholarships for students, and funding to help members of the church work with different groups and organizations.
Spinney-Mudge Grants
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lynn administers trust funds left to the church by members of the Spinney and Mudge families. Through the grants administrator and Grants Committee, we assist those in need in the Lynn community, and provide grants to organizations.
College Scholarships
The church awards annual scholarships to graduates of Lynn Classical High School, Lynn English High School, Lynn Vocational-Technical Institute, and Swampscott High School. The Unitarian Universalist Women of Greater Lynn also offer scholarship assistance to students.
Local Support
A portion of our income is set aside to address social concerns in the community. In addition, the minister oversees a discretionary fund used primarily for assistance to members of the congregation who are in need.
