Threshold Singers is a volunteer hospice singing group located north of Boston. We are available to sing either as an ensemble or as a small group at the bedsides of the dying. We bring comfort through harmony and presence at the end of life. All of the singers have been through a hospice orientation and are familiar and comfortable with the hospice philosophy of care, appropriate behavior, and confidentiality. Our repertoire includes songs from many cultures and traditions. We have songs that bring joy and relaxation, sustaining the spirits of those who are waiting. We have songs of calm and comfort that ease the process of letting go.
Threshold Singers meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month with supplemental meetings at one of the members’ homes on the Thursday of the same weeks. Mondays are from 7:15 to 9:00 p.m. at the church and Thursdays are 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon. More information is available by contacting Joan Hollister at 781-639-2069 or 617-968-2069.
