Adult Choir is a central part of worship each Sunday. Watch and listen to a Choir Anthem from recent worship services: One Love; We Are One; In Oculis Dei; Breaths (audio).
Rehearsals are Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. and Sundays from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Participation is flexible to allow for the necessary commitments of busy lives!
Community Drumming Circle builds community through drumming. It meets on alternate Sundays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. with occasional guest leadership by master drummers experienced in a variety of drumming styles.
The Spring Musical is a biennial performance put on by the church for the whole North Shore community.
The Fall Choir Concert provides an opportunity for the choir to shine, and for performers in the church to be heard. The concert has included everything from Renaissance polyphony to Broadway tunes and Beatles songs – all with appropriate instrumentation.
Threshold Singers bring healing through song. This choir gathers on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month from 7:15 to 9:00 p.m., and the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the same weeks from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
Youth Choir develops the talents of our youth in grades 2 through 6. A Youth Choir is assembled periodically for short-term rehearsal periods leading up to special services.
Special opportunities for participation include a Handbell Ringing Group and an Intergenerational Choir.
Our church building sees many musical activities. In addition to all the above, a group regularly plays chamber music here. Greater Lynn’s Concert Singers rehearse and hold their concerts here. End-of-year piano and violin studio recitals take place. And, there are Band Nights. All this in addition to our own choirs and their consistent contributions to worship and community life!
