The First Friends Room is for babies through age 3 children. We have one volunteer and one paid child-care provider taking care of our little ones every Sunday.
Curriculum for children and youth, preschool through grade 8, is offered from September through May. The curriculum supports the development of a personal faith by weaving together—
stories, values and principles of our Unitarian Universalist tradition
teachings and stories from our Jewish and Christian heritage
learning about other religions of the world
music and the arts
concern for the environment and for social justice
moral and ethical exploration
It is a joyful, experiential, child-centered curriculum.
Leadership of this program is a shared ministry. Our teachers are volunteers from the congregation who are trained and supported by the Director of Faith Development.
