Our ministry to children and youth is twofold. We minister to their minds and spirits, nurturing their religious growth, and we guide them as they learn to minister to others.
Philosophy
We understand faith development to be not the transmission of a body of knowledge, but the discovery, emergence, and cultivation of the spiritual journey. Read the Faith Development Mission and Vision statement and the Final Report of the Visioning Task Force.
Sunday Morning Ministry
From September through May we offer a curriculum that supports the faith development of young people in preschool through 8th grade. The First Friends Room is available for babies through age 3 children.
Youth Ministry
We have special ministries for our teenage community members that happen outside of Sunday mornings.
Multigenerational Events
We have multiple events each year for people of all ages to join in creative play, service to the community, and learning from one another in varied ways.
