The spiritual and religious life is layered and deep, permeating all that we are and all that we do. It is woven through our work, our rest and our relationships. It guides our choices and infuses meaning into the ordinary.
Listed below are enrichment programs for adults. We hope you will find in the following offerings something that will support your spiritual growth at this point on your journey. More classes, events, and programs are added frequently, so please visit this page often!
And, we welcome your suggestions for future programs.
Dialogue Groups
Renowned quantum physicist, David Bohm’s relationship with Indian philosopher J. Krisnamurti resulted in an understanding that the basis for all the conflict in the world has been the inability to truly communicate with one another. To resolve this, he created a process known as Bohmian Dialogue.
Ron Fishman has practiced and taught Bohmian Dialogue for 20 years and is starting a dialogue group at UUCGL. By learning and practicing dialogue we learn to deeply listen to each other, come to respect individual differences more and deepen our trust in each other. Together, we build new levels of collective understanding.
Dialogues take place in the Skylight Room, after fellowship hour, from 12:00 - 1:15 p.m. on Sundays: Nov. 27; Dec. 11; Jan. 15, 29; Feb. 12, 26 and throughout 2012. You can join at any time. If you any questions, please contact Ron.
