Leadership at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lynn is a shared endeavor between the community’s members and the church’s professional staff. Our church is congregational in its polity. This means that authority for how the church works resides with the members of the church and not with some organizational structure outside of this church. The members of the church elect the board of trustees and call the minister who then works with the members of the church to fulfill the vision and mission of the church.
As articulated on the front page of our Web site, this is our mission:
Inspired by meaningful worship, religious education, and fellowship, we are a welcoming congregation committed to spiritual growth and diversity, social justice, and serving the greater community.
Each year the board gathers feedback from the church community to develop a Vision of Ministry. This Vision of Ministry is then used to guide the work of the many committees and ministry teams that make the church work.
